About Thomas Wettermann

An attorney with some three decades of experience, Thomas Wettermann most recently spent 22 years with the Chicago-based law firm of McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff. In this position, he leveraged his business acumen and electrical engineering knowledge to generate new clients, achieving $25 million in collectionsover 15 years and exceeding goals in 14 of those years. Additionally, Thomas Wettermann successfully represented a large multinational pharmaceutical company in medical-device litigation before the US International Trade Commission and various US district courts.

Mr. Wettermann holds a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Marquette University, an MBA from the University of North Carolina, and a law degree from the DePaul University College of Law. Earlier in his career, he served as an associate with Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, where he achieved a favorable ruling for a Swiss bindery equipment manufacturer in a three-week bench trial.

Since earlier this year, Thomas Wettermann has been working as a consultant in machine-learning and data science, primarily as a computer- and information-science patent analyst. In his free time, he enjoys coding, gardening, landscaping, and playing tennis.
